USB webcam driver for Mac OS X
I finally got my USB Card for my Wallstreet. I decided to try out my cams, and my Logitech cam isn’t supported officially, but my little PenCam is supported via a hack…..USB webcam driver for Mac OS X. It works well. Neat little application. Now if I can just get a QuickCam Express driver for OS X…

I just bought a Logitech QuickCam Express but the store owner told me it was a Logitech QuickCam Zoom OEM (the Zoom has OS X drivers Available online). If there is no way to run it with iChat AV, I think I’ll go get my money back.

You know, I haven’t played around with that cam in over a year, so I’m not a good person to get advice from. But I’m leaving this thread open, just to see if anyone might have a hack or a better answer.
Scott, I never played around with that cam under OS X Jaguar, only under 10.1, so I have no clue if it will work with the iChat AV beta. I’ve changed laptop since the original post. But I’ll test it out and let everone know.

Ok, this has now been confirmed by Scott (via email) and by yours truly, Macam .8 will work with this camera. I used an older version and got nothing. By installing Macam, iChat AV will work so long as you also install iChatUSBCam. This works on both my work machine (G4 Powermac 933 Jaguar) and my home machine (G3 iBook 600 Jaguar).
If you want to use your cam to monitor your house or upload to an ftp server, Evocam also works with this setup. It worked fine on both machines.
See, I knew eventually that blogging this would kick up a solution.
