Until recently, I never really understood the process of how sounds are made by hammering out some bronze and lathing lines. but the lathe marks work similar to how sound waves flow.

This cymbal is hand hammered, meaning that it’s lines are unique and each little mark can be effected by “chatter” or vibrations on the lathe or even the cymbalsmith’s hands.

From time to time, we visit Etowah, TN for the closeout shopping up there. They have this retro little place called “Talk of the Town” where we like to visit and take in the atmosphere and fried foods.

Merely looking good doesn’t cut it anymore. Sites like Facebook and YouTube draw in users with compelling content and functionality. Creating Web sites that can capture and hold users’ attention is what matters most.

Facebook and YouTube are compelling? Really? Are we talking about the same fucking websites? YouTube…..Where Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” is the most popular video?  Compelling?

I look at a lot of the comments and sections on both of these websites and just see how they are a playground. Compelling? I’m sorry, it’s really hard for me to take any of these sites seriously. Give me some content I can use, instead of a vast wasteland of what in the 80′s and early 90′s would be a public access channel.

Yep, $4.02 outside of Lafayette, GA.. I decided to document my first fill-up with this price….although I’m getting 32-33 mpg in my GEO. I’m hoping that the 89 octane will add a few miles to that. Not bad for my little commuter car.
