{St. Patrick’s Day Fast Facts: Beyond the Blarney} – “Irish brigands kidnapped St. Patrick at 16 and brought him to Ireland. He was sold as a slave in the county of Antrim and served in bondage for six years until he escaped to Gaul, in present-day France. He later returned to his parents’ home in Britain, where he had a vision that he would preach to the Irish. After 14 years of study, Patrick returned to Ireland, where he built churches and spread the Christian faith for some 30 years.”

{Amish teen fined for wiretapping} – “An Amish teenager will pay a fine and restitution to a neighbor for illegally tapping into his telephone line.

James Bontrager, 17, W3950 Grand River Road, Markesan, pleaded guilty in Green Lake County Circuit Court Jan. 23, to a charge of telecommunications fraud.

He was fined $367 and ordered to pay $36.09 in long distance charges to CenturyTel for calls the teen made on his neighbor’s phone line to a relative in Indiana. The Amish traditionally shun telephones and other modern conveniences in their homes.”

When I saw this story, I immediately thought of a tincan telephone with someone adding another can in the middle.

{ABC News: Evangelicals urge action on global warming} – “e Christian leaders said they were impelled by their faith to launch this campaign out of a growing realization that the threat of global warming was real and that the world’s poor would suffer the most.”

I saw this the other night on ABC’s evening news and they were portraying it as if it were global warming as a pro-life stance. Which absolutely makes sense to me. If you’re “pro-life” and you’re driving an SUV, you’re a walkin’, talkin’, rollin’ ball of hypocritical lovin’.

How can someone sit there and defend driving a gas-guzzler or even loosening environmental standards while saying that they’re pro-life?

I’d like to point out to my riotous Muslim friends, that you didn’t see Buddhists burning down buildings, rioting, and shooting people when priceless, 2,000 year-old Buddha statues were destroyed by Afghanistan’s Taliban government in 2001. Not only were these works of art, they existed way before Muhammad was ever a gleam in Allah’s eye.

Respect is a two way street my friends. You have to give it, to get it. Why should anyone give a shit about a cartoon from 5 months ago, when many Muslims didn’t give a shit about 2,000 year-old pre-Islamic Buddhist statuses.

This isn’t really about a cartoon is it?. It’s about the two worlds that we live in: the western sodom and gomorra as seen by the east and the restrictive spiritual world they live in. They view our lifestyles as being pornographic and the US as the cultural mecca for everything “satanic” in the world. Our freedom of press, is just seen as another example as to what’s wrong with everyone outside of their grasp. How could we put truth and freedom above what Allah said many worlds ago. It didn’t matter if it originated in Europe, to them, the US is still to blame….

{2/8/2006 – Why Can’t My Mother Be Allowed To Die? – And Response – Opinion – Chattanoogan.com} – “What, tell me, is the point of this cruelty? Why can’t my mother die
with dignity and class? Why do we prolong peoples’ lives so they can be out of their minds and miserable when they are ready to die? I know my mother. She doesn’t want nor deserve this complete lack of compassion. How do I allow this great woman to suffer and wither away when she should have eternal peace? How will I deal with allowing this to happen to my mother the rest of my life. I will forever say, “I should have never allowed this to happen to her.”

I have thought of nothing but this for weeks now. I want to know what the argument is on the other side. Is this another right-winged fundamental christian forced upon issue that prevents my mother from leaving this earth with dignity and pride like she had before getting cancer? Is it because Jesus may miraculously heal her? Should I call Ernest Angeley or Benny Hinn? Or, and, I really hope this isn’t the case, is it about money? Are they keeping my mother alive at however many thousands of dollars a day for the love of the dollar?”

Because the people who are in power are scared of people making their own choices. From seat belts to abortion to euthanasia, people are fighting against the free will each of us have inside. Aside from seat belts, the other two decisions aren’t willy-nilly, easy decisions. Do you honestly think that someone with a terminal illness shouldn’t have the ability to select their time to go? And it’s not like the big myth that some women use abortion as birth control….no one ever says that.

We have freedoms from and of religion, we have freedoms to carry guns, we have freedoms on a lot of “things” except when it involves what WE as individuals need.

Open Letter to Muslims

February 7th, 2006

firebomb this, motherfuckerDear Muslims,

Please develop a sense of humor and stop taking yourself too seriously. Bombing embassies over a cartoon (a lame, poorly drawn one at that), effectively proves that you guys need to seriously stop worrying about the virgins in heaven and more about the ones here on earth.

Sincerely,
Me

{Boing Boing: Wife of MN Satanic gubernatorial candidate fired for being witch} – “Regular Boing Boing readers may recall a recent post here about Jonathan “The Impaler” Sharkey, the self-described vampire who ran for governor in Minnesota. Sharkey’s wife, Julie Carpenter, worked as a bus driver for a school district in that state for four years with a flawless record — but was fired last week when the school district superintendent learned she was a pagan.”

Getting fired for being Pagan is akin to being fired for being Jewish, Hindu, Christian or Muslim. It should not be tolerated for people to be fired for religious/spiritual beliefs. This is 2006, the 6th year in the 21st century. We should be beyond this, but we aren’t. Granted there are enough idiots in every religion, like her husband appears to be. But his public beliefs shouldn’t effect her job.

I’m no more an expert on paganism than I am on christianity, but let me also say, that satanism, vampirism, and paganism are not the same thing.

Evolution and Creationism as Religion

January 13th, 2006

{The Religion of Science} – “We’ve all heard the argument, evolution is a ‘science’ and therefore it is somehow more valuable or respectable than religion. This same argument won the right of evolution studies in our public school classrooms, and helped build the wall around so called non -scientific ‘creationism’ and to this day keeps it from being taught in our public schools. It seems that labeling something as a science is a one way ticket to popularity and acceptance. Deeming something to be of a religious nature practically guarantees objection, often ridicule. Could these labels be less than honest? Could we have been sold a bill of goods when they say that evolution is a science? Could it actually be a religion? Evolution and Creationism couldn’t BOTH be religions, could they ? ”

“Absolutely.”

Instead of saying that “Intelligent Design” is a science, they’re saying that Evolution and Creationism are religions.

These people are confusing theory with faith….

Those who believe in evolution have faith in the scientist’s abilities to speculate and imagine what might have been. This is not science. This is faith.

Viva Illuminati!

January 13th, 2006

{Texe Marr’s Codex Magica} – “This is the most powerful book Texe has ever written. Codex Magica is the definitive volume documenting the occult empire running our planet today. Texe Marrs has spent years writing this book, more time than he’s spent on any of his other publications. This is his masterpiece.”

This seems like an interesting read on the Illuminati both past and present. I’ve been getting more interested in learning about these secret societies, mainly since we all know that deep down, they’re true. We know that the powerful get together and talk about the future of the planet, but we don’t really know what happens. We don’t know if this is “satanic” or christian or pagan or Zoroastrianism or whatever. People place so much onto the occult and it’s influence, when it’s probably just a bunch of rich white men drinking in the woods instead of actual occultist.
